1992 Baltic 40

Annapolis, Maryland

$185,000

"Tempest" has just arrived back in Annapolis in time for the Fall US Boat Show after spending time down in South America. The Baltic 40 is a rare boat to see in the US, most of her sisterships are romping around the Med. She offers a great option for those who like the quality build of this popular Finnish builder. She offers a 2 stateroom, 2 head interior layout. The owner's cabin is aft and offers a center-line queen berth.

If you are looking for a boat for the Caribbean, or maybe racing in the very popular cruising class races in New England, "Tempest " fits the bill hands down. She is built of the finest materials, and designed by the award winning design team of  Judel/Vrolijk & Co.

If you are coming to Annapolis in Oct. for the US Sailboat Show, please feel free to make an appointment to see this lovely performance cruiser. She is currently on the hard and can easily be shown, located less than 10 minutes from the Boat Show.

Hull and Deck

The Baltic 40 hull construction reflects the belief that the lighter a yacht is, the more ballast it can carry for a given displacement, which makes it safer, better to handle and gives it a longer lasting value. The hull is FRP sandwich construction using specially designed, unidirectional rovings and high-grade epoxy resins, which reduce the hull weight by some 40 to 60 per cent when compared to traditional polyester laminates. The result is a hull which is lightweight, extremely rigid and well-insulated. It is stronger and has a longer durability. An additional option which adds considerable strength, beauty and value to the Baltic 40 is the hand-laid and epoxy-cemented teak deck.
